February 2022: Joint Comment to Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery on State Imposed Forced Labor in XUAR
The Investor Alliance for Human Rights filed a joint submission alongside Anti-Slavery International, Uyghur Human Rights Project, and the World Uyghur Congress to the Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery. The submission responds to the Special Rapporteur's call for input on contemporary forms of slavery as affecting persons belonging to ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities.
The Investor Alliance and our allies' submission focuses on systematically imposed forced labor in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), targeting the Uyghur population and other Turkic and Muslim-majority peoples on the basis of their religion and ethnicity.
