July 2023: Investor Alliance files independent public comment with NTIA in response to request for input on responsible AI policy development

In July 2023, the Investor Alliance filed an independent public comment to the U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the US Department of Commerce in response to its request for input on responsible AI policy development. The Investor Alliance's independent submission, aligned with investors’ expectations for trustworthy AI detailed in our Investor Statement on the EU AI Act, emphasized the need for AI policy to include mandatory HRDD requirements, prohibitions and restrictions on the use of AI in high-risk situations, and safeguards for AI systems used for law enforcement and national security purposes.
