WBA’s Human Rights and Gender Investor Guidance: A Tool for Stewardship Activities
The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) is releasing two new investor guidance documents elaborating on key findings from its Gender Benchmark and Assessment and several iterations of the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB).
The guidance documents highlight areas of concern or opportunities for action and may inform engagement priorities for investors. They further build on WBA’s human rights and gender insights and translate them into a series of assessment questions for investors to use in their stewardship activities. In addition, the guidance documents include leading practice examples that can inform users about what good disclosure looks like for specific areas of their assessment.
WBA works with asset managers, asset owners, and key actors across the investment industry to accelerate corporate accountability and sustainable systems transformations. These guidance documents will be of interest to investors actively participating in the Investor Alliance’s CHRB coordinated corporate engagement, as well as investors more broadly engaging companies on their human rights and gender performance.
